ILLARI THREADS PRO SERIES – Barbed PDO Cog Thread Sutures
ILLARI PRO COG V1™ THREADS use a blunt cannula to carefully insert an absorbable barbed thread to deep, subcutaneous layers of skin. illari Cogs come in (2) Types – V1 and V2 depending upon preference and are bi-directional barbs in opposite directions creating superior strength within tissues.
ILLARI PRO COG V1™ THREADS use a combination of an 18G blunt cannula and a molded cog thread. Molding Cog Type threads are made by being pressured into the specially designed molds without damage. In this manner our threads show superior tensile strength and anchoring effect compared to the regular cutting type cog threads.
Topical and injectable anesthesia is strongly recommended for the treatment such as Lidocaine and Epi. Swelling and edema may last 3-5 days after treatment and transient bruising may occur but is different for each patient and treatment indication.
